We are happy to announce that Shifflett's Waste Service will be our new trash service provider starting January 1, 2017. Scheduled days for trash and recycling will remain the same.
For those new to the area, Shifflett's was our previous trash and recycling hauler and sold their business in 2011 in hopes of retiring. Never one to sit still, on October 1, 2016, Eugene and Rita Shifflett restablished operations after Shifflett's honored a five year non-compete clause with County Waste. Along with their son Danny, they've returned to the area by popular demand as Shifflett’s Waste Services to provide that personal level of service we previously experienced. Shifflett's passed significant savings to Leeland Station in order to regain our business.
Shifflett's will drop off new trash and recycling cans to each household the week of December 19th. These cans will be placed by Shifflett's near the garage door and not left in the street.
County Waste will pick up their cans Saturday, December 31st. We ask that everyone put all County Waste cans out at the curb Friday evening or Saturday morning.
If you are going out of town for the holidays, please leave your cans out prior to leaving or have a neighbor put them out on your behalf if possible (no trash compliance notices will be sent during this transition time).
