There will be 3 course options: a 1 mile run (any age child/teen), a ½ mile run (6 or under) and a 200m run (3 or under). Children are encouraged to run the distance that will challenge them but still be fun. One parent/adult/older sibling is welcome to run with any child participating in the event. All races will start and end at the Leeland Station Clubhouse.
Packet pick-up this year will occur on Friday, October 1st. Participating families will stop at the clubhouse to pick up their race supplies. No in-person registration or same-day packet pick-up.
Participants and Spectators (age 2 and up) must wear a mask if they go into the clubhouse. The clubhouse will be open only for bathroom use this year. Spectators must socially distance from other families and must stay 10 feet away from the course at all times. No food or drinks will be provided this year.
Registration fees can be paid by paypal (5.50 per child) or by cash/check (5.00 per child). All fees should be paid to Lori Govar (95 Hunton Drive) by September 22nd. Refunds will not be available after September 22nd.
All runners will receive a medal, a pumpkin and a cowbell that can be used for cheering. In addition, award ceremonies and drawings for the mile/half mile will be held following completion of those races.
Families are encouraged to run the course ahead of time to practice and become familiar with the course. A map will be provided.
